Hygiene and Sterility: The highest level of purity is required, low bacteria or even sterile (depending on the specific application), with strictly controlled production processes.

Malleability/Enveloping Property: When used for ice packs, it needs to fit snugly against body parts; when used for sample cooling, it needs to fill the gaps between containers.

Rapid Cooling: Used for emergency cooling or when precise low-temperature control is needed.

Easy Melting: When used for ice packs, it needs to continuously release cold but not be overly stimulating; when used for cooling, it needs to quickly reach low temperatures.

Free of Foreign Matter/Pure: Avoid introducing impurities that affect experimental results or patient safety.

 

**Recommended Ice Shapes and Reasons:**

First Choice: Snowflake Ice / Flake Ice

Reason: The texture is the softest and fluffiest, with extremely high malleability. It can perfectly wrap around joints or body parts for ice packs, providing high contact comfort; it melts relatively quickly, providing continuous cold sensation; it has a large contact area, resulting in high cooling efficiency; it is easy to fill irregular container gaps, ensuring uniform sample cooling. It is the preferred choice for medical ice packs and laboratory cooling.

Specific Needs:

Chewable Ice: Can be used to make ice cream that is easy for patients to eat or to provide small ice particles for oral care (strict hygiene must be ensured).

Cube Ice: Can be used for general cooling buckets or non-direct contact cooling needs (such as storing certain medicines), but its malleability and enveloping properties are far inferior to snowflake/flake ice.

Not Recommended: Crescent Ice, Large Cube Ice, Cylindrical Ice (poor malleability, cannot wrap tightly, unsatisfactory melting speed).
